Spirometer filter BoFAP

BoFAP is a medical device, unique and revolutionary designed, designed, patented, and produced by LUMED srl.
It is able to guarantee a perfect hygiene of the equipment and reduce the risk of cross-contamination between patients. Like a classic filter, it fits at the head of the spirometer and continues with the diagnostic examination.

BoFAP materials:

• EUROSPIRO mouthpiece, single use, biocompatible cardboard from recycled paper.
• Filter material, electrostatically charged synthetic fiber with double layer of polypropylene for medical use.
• Biodegradable and compostable packaging material, for single filter packaging.

Features:

• Removes up to 99.9% of 0.2 micron particles and therefore viruses and bacteria.
• Total absence of glues.
• Flow resistance and dead space in accordance with the limit values given by the European Respiratory Society (ERS) and the American Thorax Society (ATS) guidelines.
• Almost zero environmental impact due to 99% reduction in plastics compared to current antibacterial filters.
• Drastic reduction in transport costs.
• Practical and hygienic as individually packaged.
• Paper disposal and recycling is certified by Aticelca (any viral load decays within 48 hours).
